Strategies: Professional Development

Standards, requirements, data analysis, strategies, and methods centered on student performance would be less effective without the properly-trained personnel to execute the plan. Teachers have a substantial influence on the quality and amount of education students receive. With that in mind, it is very important that professional development is implemented to assist teachers in continuously improving their skills and knowledge.

Professional development can be most effective when standards for educators are in place, strong leaders provide the proper direction, adequate resources are available to utilize, and environments conducive to improvement exist.
